Counselling and Psychotherapy in Islington, North London, N1

Ready for a change?

Are there times when you feel you could be living your life more fully?

Psychotherapy provides a space in which to think about the your life and how you would like to be living.

As a psychotherapist I provide a non-judgemental, safe and confidential space in which we can think about your life and hopes for the future.

By looking at you and the patterns in your life together, we seek a fuller understanding in a therapeutic relationship. As in all experiences, understanding and insight take time to emerge. Regular sessions are essential - after all no one expects results after one trip to the gym!

Through regular meetings greater insight and understanding develop - freeing us from negative patterns and allowing for more energy and a greater capacity to experience life more fully and freely.

Together we can explore your feelings....

What holds you in negative patterns?

Why is will power ultimately so useless as a means of deep personal change?

My name is Pamela Windham Stewart and I have been a practising counsellor and psychotherapist in Highbury, London for over 15 years. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

I work with individuals, young people and couples. Work can be on an open-ended basis, or for an agreed time period, The purpose is to enhance life and to live it more creatively. My work with couples aims to help resolve difficuties. Where this is not possible then the focus shifts to facilitate moving forward with understanding and insight, free from the poison of incrimination and blame.

I am experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties with:

My practice is a 5 minute walk from Highbury N5 and Islington N1 underground on the Victoria line (and Silverlink). The Angel tube and Upper Street are a short walk away, as is Holloway Road tube.

My premises are near to the beautiful Highbury Fields and are disability friendly with provision for wheelchair access.
